Maruyasu Industries FC (マルヤス工業フットボールクラブ, Maruyasu Kogyō Futtobōru Kurabu), playing as FC Maruyasu Okazaki (FCマルヤス岡崎, Efu Shī Maruyasu Okazaki), is a Japanese professional football team based in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture. They currently play in Japan Football League, Japanese fourth tier of nationwide football league system.

History

The club has been established in 1968 as the corporate team of Maruyasu Industries. In 1976 the team won promotion to Tōkai Soccer League where remained ever since except for 2003 and 2004 seasons when they suffered relegation to Division 2. The club has won the league in 2013 and though they were unable to take up one of three promotion-granting places in the Regional League promotion series, they were admitted to in JFL in 2014 season by the league board.

Before their first season on the nationwide level the club has changed its name to FC Maruyasu Okazaki in order to appeal more to the local community.

Maruyasu Okazaki (岡﨑 慎司, *Okazaki Marujasu*, born April 15, 1986) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Sint-Truidense and the Japan national team. With 50 international goals, he is the joint-second highest goalscorer for the Japan national team, alongside Kunishige Kamamoto.

Okazaki began his professional career in Japan with Shimizu S-Pulse, where he played for three seasons. He moved to Germany in 2011, where he played for VfB Stuttgart, 1. FSV Mainz 05 and FC Köln. He joined Leicester City in the Premier League in 2015, where he played for three seasons before moving to Málaga in Spain in 2019, Huesca in Spain in 2021, and then to Sint-Truidense in Belgium in 2022.

Okazaki made his international debut for Japan in 2008, and has represented the team at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2011, 2015 and 2019 AFC Asian Cups. He was part of the Japanese team that won the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
