FK Sputnik

FC Sputnik Rechitsa was a Belarusian football club based in Rechytsa.

The club was founded in 2017 after a relocation of FC DYuSSh-DSK Gomel to Rechytsa. The club finished third in the 2018 Belarusian Second League season and in early 2019, they were offered a promotion to the First League, after a vacancy opened. Sputnik took the offer and made its First League debut in 2019.

On July 14, 2021, it became known that the club was dissolved after not being able to carry on being funded, resulting in withdrawal from the league and 3-0 wins being given to opponents for the rest of the season.

Fotbalový klub Sputnik je běloruský fotbalový klub se sídlem v Rečici. Byl založen v roce 1995 a své domácí zápasy hraje na stadionu Sputnik.

Sputnik je jedním z nejstarších běloruských fotbalových klubů a v běloruské lize hrál od jejího založení v roce 1992 až do roku 2014, kdy byl kvůli finančním problémům vyloučen. Klub se vrátil do druhé běloruské ligy v roce 2017 a od té doby v ní hraje.

Sputnik vyhrál Běloruský pohár v roce 1999 a byl finalistou v letech 1997 a 2000. Také reprezentoval Bělorusko v Poháru UEFA v roce 1999, kde byl vyřazen v prvním kole švýcarským týmem FC St. Gallen.

Nejznámějším hráčem klubu je Anatolij Tymoščuk, který v letech 1995-1999 hrál za Sputnik a později se stal hvězdou reprezentace Ukrajiny a hráčem klubů jako Bayern Mnichov a Zenit Petrohrad.
