Wikipedia - Big V

The Big V is a semi-professional basketball league in Victoria, Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition.

History

The Big V Conference was established in 2000 and joined the Australian Basketball Association (ABA). The ABA ceased operations following the 2008 season, resulting in the Big V becoming independent.

The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of 2024, the league's premier divisions are Championship Men and Championship Women. The Big V also has Division One and Division Two as well as a number of youth divisions.

Austrálie - Big V

Big V je jednou z nejvyšších australských basketbalových soutěží a je rozdělena do dvou divizí - pánské a dámské. Pánská divize se skládá z deseti týmů, zatímco dámská divize má osm týmů. Sezóna probíhá od dubna do srpna a každý tým odehraje 22 zápasů.

Big V byla založena v roce 1986 a od té doby se stala jednou z nejpopulárnějších basketbalových soutěží v Austrálii. V soutěži hraje mnoho talentovaných hráčů, včetně několika národních reprezentantů.

Největšími hvězdami Big V v posledních letech byli Andrew Bogut, Ben Simmons a Patty Mills. Bogut je bývalý hráč NBA, který reprezentoval Austrálii na olympijských hrách.
