Wikipedia - Northern Premier League

Northern Premier League (oficiálním názvem dle sponzora The Evo-Stik League) je sedmá (Premier Division) a zároveň osmá (Division One North & South) nejvyšší fotbalová soutěž v Anglii (společně s Isthmian League a Southern Football League). Geograficky zahrnuje celou Severní Anglii, severní části Midlands a celý sever Walesu.

Soutěž byla založena v roce 1968 jako severní protějšek Southern Football League. Pro sezónu 1987/88 byla přidána Division One. Před sezónou 2007/08 proběhla reorganizace soutěže, kdy Premier Division zůstala jako nejvyšší soutěž a Division One byla rozdělena na severní a jižní část.

**Anglie – Northern Premier League**

Northern Premier League je anglická fotbalová soutěž pro poloprofesionální a amatérské kluby ze severní Anglie. Založena byla v roce 1968 jako Northern Premier League a do roku 1979 ji řídila Northern Counties Football League. Soutěž je rozdělena do dvou divizí – Premier Division a Division One North/West – a do úrovně anglického fotbalu spadá na 7. a 8. místo. Vítěz Premier Division postupuje do National League North, zatímco čtyři nejhorší týmy z Premier Division a dva nejhorší z Division One North/West sestupují do Northern Counties East League nebo North West Counties League.
